About Us

We have caught the travel bug…and it feels so good.

Almost a decade ago Matt and I (Heather) had our first ‘real’ travel experience. We landed in Albufeira, Portugal, our first time in Europe! Prior to this, I had only travelled as a young girl with my family. Only now, in Albufeira I no longer was confined to the the decks of a cruise ship or enclosed in the walls of a resort. We had a whole city, region and country to explore! It was up to us to create our own adventure. Little did we know how liberating and thrilling that would be. Right then and there our love and fascination with travel began. Thankfully, this was only the beginning…

For the past six years we have devoted several months out of each year to exploring. We have been fortunate enough to travel to many destinations, but our travel list keeps growing!

On our travels we like to do as the locals do. We seek out the authenticity of a city or country. These experiences have lead us far off the heavily beaten tourist path. That said, of course we do find ourselves wandering that path now and again, especially when it comes to the ‘main’ sites of a certain area. They are popular for a reason, right?!
